Whiskey Making Show using the Prosser River.
First Act: 12 noon:
Step back in time to the late 1800s when John McConnon had an interest in River-moon-shining the illegal distillation of Whiskey at Levenbanks property in Levendale. The constables came out to arrest John, but as the story goes he said to them to stay and have a drink. They consumed too much and fell asleep. John McConnon then left on his best horse to Hobart Town. John McConnon ended up in New Zealand and he died in 1894.
Second Act: 12.30pm:
The local Shearer’s in the shearing shed all wanting attention from the pretty nurses of the RHH Burns Unit to deal with their cuts and burns.
Third Act: 1pm:
Mrs. Bellette found in her large feather bed drinking tea and telling some stories of how hard life was in Woodsdale.
Come along and have a fun day of role play comedy acts at the Woodsdale Museum on Sunday 31st of May for Heritage Festival Month.
The shows will be held in the two new sheds built with funds from the Tasmanian Community Fund Grant. Museum will open from 11am to 3pm. Cost $5 per adult, children free.
